“Heavy metals” are substances considered potentially responsible for allergic contact dermatitis.
They can come from impurities present in individual components or from residues from the product production cycle.
• 5 ppm (mg/kg): maximum concentration considered acceptable on the basis of epidemiological studies conducted by trade associations;
• 0.1 ppm (mg/kg) maximum concentration accepted in the Emulsio Naturale line
Emulsio Naturale products described as hypoallergenic have been subjected to experimental trials on human volunteers involving repeated application of the product through a patch (patch tests).
The tests are performed under dermatological control and have confirmed the tolerability of the formulas for the skin.
The fragrances used in the Emulsio Naturale line contain none of the 26 allergens commonly present in cleaning products
(identified in Regulation 1223/2009/EC, expressed in Regulation 648/2004/EC)
or they contain such a small amount that it need not be reported on the product label.

Parabens are highly effective preservatives which have been used since the 1930s in the cosmetics, food and pharmaceutical industries.
They are now classified as endocrine disruptors, and their use in cosmesis is limited to certain product categories.
While their use in cleaning products is not prohibited, no parabens are used in the Emulsio Naturale line..
We work with the top producers of raw materials and constantly select materials that achieve high quality standards to come up with high-performing formulas that cannot cause any harm to people or to surfaces.
The products in the Emulsio Naturale line are developed in partnership with selected business partners using exclusive patented technologies to guarantee outstanding performance without causing any harm to people, the environment, or the surfaces in the home. All the products in the ilCatturaOdori line use exclusive “Molodour control” technology to help neutralise foul odours.
The products in the Emulsio Naturale line bearing the words “raw materials” contain materials derived from natural sources using processes of chemical transformation which do not alter their original properties.
Zinc Ricinoleate
• Salification of ricinoleic acid - found in the fruit of the castor oil plant;
• Anti-odour molecule: “traps” the substances responsible for foul odours on its surface so they can be removed easily by mechanical action.
Alkyl Polyglucosides
• Derivatives of the process of transformation of renewable sources such as potatoes and maize;
• Surfactants that modify surface tension in the proximity of dirt, helping it to be solubilised and removed from fabrics;
• Emollient properties (used in cosmetics);
• Not classified as environmentally hazardous.
Coconut soap
• Derivative of the process of saponification (salification) of coconut oil;
• Contains glycerine, which reduces skin irritation (emollient);
• Solubilising function for greasy dirt (organic residues).
Surfactants are biodegradable if they degrade when released into the environment, breaking back down into their primary components (carbon dioxide and water). The surfactants present in the Emulsio Naturale line are biodegradable in both aerobic conditions (in the presence of oxygen) and anaerobic conditions (in the absence of oxygen) under Regulation 648/2004/EC.
Originally used as raw materials for making detergents, phosphates are pollutants that cause eutrophication of algae and an oxygen deficit in the water.
Emulsio Naturale products are not tested on animals. The Sutter Group’s policy is not to encourage experiments on animals in any way, and not to conduct any tests involving use of animals.
